Beaded Mitts
I bought the yarn I used for these thinking I would make the diamonds mitts with it. However the diamond pattern did not work with this yarn because the stitches did not hold their shape. Yet, the yarn felt so good in my hands, I just had to make some mitts with it. The yarn has a little shine to it so it seemed dressy to me. Thus, the beaded evening mitt was born. Materials:
Yarn: Misti Alpaca 80% suri alpaca, 20% silk (Dk weight) 50 g/ 109 yds. skein. 3
skeins color in picture is 3989.
Needles: size 6 circular needles ( at least 24” long) for magic loop method. Or 4dpn.
Change needle size to obtain gauge if needed.
Beads: 62 little beads & 22 tear drop beads.
Gauge: 5 st and 7 rows per inch.
Finished size: 7” hand circumference for small, 8” hand circumference for
medium.
