Introducing Lorthlorien Shawl

December 15, 2016 by Jennifer Wood

Lorthlorien Scarf by Jennifer Wood

Lorthlorien Shawl & Scarf

The shawl is inspired by the description of the mallron trees. “There are no trees like the trees of that land. For in the autumn their leaves fall not, but turn to gold. Not till the spring comes and the new green opens do they fall.

Lorthlorien Shawl by Jennifer Wood

Then the boughs are laden with golden blossom in clusters like a cherry; and the floor of the wood is golden, and golden is the roof, and its pillars are of silver, for the bark of the trees is smooth and grey.”

Introducing Ciel

October 24, 2016 by Jennifer Wood

Ciel by Jennifer Wood

My first drop shoulder pullover! I really enjoyed designing this Gansey style sweater with the twisted stitch pattern complemented with seed stitch.

Ciel by Jennifer Wood

I will definitely being doing more! This pullover is designed with positive ease and fitted sleeves to make a comfortable, flattering fit.

Ciel by Jennifer Wood

I named the sweater Ciel, meaning sky, because the color reminds of a deep beautiful midnight sky.
